Cameroon has opened around some national parks and wildlife reserves, several hunting areas in which hunting guides and tourists can indulge in sport hunting. This activity is highly regulated, because you have to pay the farming fees, hunting license and slaughter taxes provided for by law.
However, since Cameroon is a signatory to several international conventions relating to the protection of fauna and biodiversity and in particular the CITES convention, several species remain fully protected. Guides take care of accommodation for tourists in their respective hunting areas.
