Minister of Tourism and Leisures

From 1972 to 1975, Bello Bouba Maigari was General Secretary of the Ministry of the Armed Forces. He was appointed deputy secretary-general of the presidency on June 30, 1975, he held this position until January 1982 (with the rank of minister since November 11, 1980). In the government appointed on January 7, 1982, he became Minister of State for the Economy and Planning; Later, when President Ahmadou Ahidjo resigned in November 1982, Bello Bouba Maigari was appointed prime minister by the new president. On August 22, 1983, Bello Bouba Maigari as Prime Minister, was replaced by Luc Ayang.   Bello Bouba Maigari announced the formation of a new party, the National Union for Democracy and Progress in Cameroon (UNDPC) in Paris on May 25, 1990. After the party was legalized (UNDP) in March 1991, it is returned to Cameroon on August 17, 1991. At the party congress held in Garoua on January 4-5, 1992, Bello Bouba Maigari became president of the UNDP, replacing former party leader Samuel Eboua.   He was elected to the National Assembly in the March 1992 parliamentary election as the Benue MP. Bello Bouba Maigari participated and finished third in the election that took place on October 11, 1992, behind Paul Biya and John Fru Ndi of the Social Democratic Front (SDF). President Biya appointed two UNDP leaders, Hamadou Moustapha and Issa Tchiroma, to the government in November 1992, Bello Bouba Maigari was re-elected to the National Assembly in the May 1997 Legislative Election. Following the presidential election, Bello Bouba Maigari entered the government as Minister of State for Industrial and Commercial Development in December 1997. the government appointed on December 8, 2004, he was moved from his post Minister of State for Industrial and Commercial Development to that of Minister of State for Posts and Telecommunications. Bello Bouba Maigari was appointed on June 30, 2009, as Minister of State for Transport. In the government appointed on December 9, 2011, Bello Bouba Maigari was placed as Minister of State for Tourism and Leisure. He was installed in this new ministry on December 10th. The last redevelopment of the Government of 02 March 2018, Bello Bouba Maigari has been maintained at the head of the Ministry of Tourism and Leisure, which he has been in charge since 2011.
